Guy, known as The Red, was born in 1042 in Montlhery, France.1   The Red's father was Signeur Gui Milo de Montlhery and his mother was Hilduin de Gometz.  His paternal grandparents were Thibault de Montlhery and <Unknown>; his maternal grandparents were Guillaume de Gometz and <Unknown>. He had a brother and four sisters, named Le Grand, Isabel, Elizabeth, Alice and Melisende.  He was the third oldest of the six children.  He died  due to in the First Crusade at the age of 66 in 1108.1
