Haldetrude was born about 0585 in Bourgogne, France.1   Haldetrude's father was Richemeres von Franconia and her mother was Garritrude de Hamage.  Her paternal grandparents were Betton de Orleans and Austregilde Aiga; her maternal grandparents were Theodebald de Baviere and <Unknown>. She had a sister named Gerberga.  She was the younger of the two children.  She died in 0618 in Metz, Austrasia, France.1

Haldetrude and Clothaire were married.  They had two sons and two daughters, named Dagobert I, Charibert II, Bertha and Emma.
