Matilda de Albini

Matilda was born in 1142 in Arundel, Sussex, England.¹ Matilda's father was Earl William d'Aubigny III and her mother was Adeliza de Louvain. Her maternal grandparents were Duc Godefroi de Louvain I and Comtesse Ida de Namur. She had two brothers and three sisters, named William, Simon, Alice, Cecily and Matilda. She was the third youngest of the six children.
