Sarah was born about 1760 in Virginia.1   Sarah's father was Robert Walker and her mother was Agatha.  Her paternal grandparents were William Walker and Judith. She had a brother and a sister, named Elijah and Judith.  She was the oldest of the three children.  She died about 1825 in Franklin Co., Virginia.1 

Sarah's family with Edward Beard

Sarah and Edward were married in a religious ceremony in 1779.1  They had seven sons and four daughters, named Samuel, Robert, Charles, Elijar, Edward, Pleasant, John, Agatha, Eliza, Judith and Sarah.
