Gondolfus' father was Munderic Vitrey and his mother was Arthemia Perthois. His paternal grandparents were Cloderic I "The Parricide" Cologne and <Unknown>; his maternal grandparents were Bishop Florentinus of Geneva and Artemia of Lyon. He had a brother named Bodegisel. He was the younger of the two children. He died at the age of 54 in 0599 in Tongres, France.¹
