Elizabeth Thornton

Elizabeth was born on August 26th, 1672 in Gloucester County, Virginia.¹ Elizabeth's father was William Thornton Jr. and her mother was Elizabeth FitzHugh. Her paternal grandparents were William Thornton Sr. and Elizabeth Rowland. She had four brothers and eleven sisters, named Francis, Seth, William, John, Margaret, Mary, Esther, Sarah, Jane, Judith, Anna, Susan, Prudence, Alice and Johanna. She was the oldest of the sixteen children. She died at the age of 71 in 1743.¹
