Bothild was born about 1061 in Denmark.1   Bothild's father was Thorgaut (Fagrskinna) Ulfsson and her mother was Thorugnn Vognsson.  Her paternal grandparents were Ulv Galicia and Bothild Hakonsson. She had two brothers named Thorkel and Astrad.  She was the youngest of the three children.  She died in 1103 in Olberg, Jerusalem.1
