Njord's father was Odin of Asgard and his mother was Friege de Siluria. His paternal grandparents were Frithuwald or Bor and Beltsa; his maternal grandparents were Cadwalladr ap Lewfer Mawr and <Unknown>. He had nine brothers named Winta, Skjold, Odinsson, Baeldaeg, Wecta With I, Seaxneat, Casere, Waegdagg and Wihtlaeg. He was the oldest of the ten children. He had a half-brother named Saeming.
