Governor of Scotland Murdock was born about 1363 in Dundonald Castle, Irvine, Ayshire, Scotland.1   Governor of Scotland Murdock's father was Duke of Albany Robert Stuart and his mother was Countess of Mentieth Margaret Murdock Graham.  His maternal grandparents were Sir John Graham and Countess of Menteith Mary Stewart. He had two brothers and seven sisters, named Robert, Earl of Buchan John, Lady Margaret, Janet, Maria, Lady Marjory, Lady Isabella, Lady Marcelline and Elizabeth.  He was the second oldest of the ten children.  He died on May 25th, 1425 in Beheaded at Stirling Castle, Scotland by King James I.  He was buried in Church of the Black Friars, Stirling, Scotland.2 2
