Hugh was born in 1530 in Courteenhall, Northampton, England.1   Hugh's father was Roger Sargent and his mother was <Unknown>.  His paternal grandparents were Maxwell Sargent and Patricia Ann Hetherington.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 65 on February 23rd, 1595 in Courteenhall, Northampton, England.  His burial was on March 1st, 1595 in Courteenhall, Northampton, England.2 1

Hugh and Margaret were married in 1554 in Courteenhall, Northampton, England.1   They had seven sons and six daughters, named Nicholas, Roger, John, Richard, Thomas, George, Michael, Elizabeth, Mary, Jane, Alice, Magdaline and Dorothy.
