John Pate

John was born in 1746.¹ John's father was Edward Pate and his mother was Martha Tinsley. His paternal grandparents were John Pate and Judith Christian; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Tinsley and Martha Ragland. He had four brothers and a sister, named Matthew, Anthony, Jeremiah, Thomas and Judith. He was the third youngest of the six children.
