William Oliver 
William was born in 1717 in Anne Arundel Co., Maryland.1 William's father was John Oliver and his mother was Beatrice Crutchley. His paternal grandparents were Bacon Oliver and Ann; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Crutchley and Alice. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Joseph, John, Samuel, Sarah, Ann and Alice. He died at the age of 63 in 1780 in Anne Arundel Co., Maryland.1 General Notes

Lewis Stevens married Mary Oliver in 1771. The three Crutchley's are probable cousins of the Oliver family, mentioned in the 1766 will of Dinah Crutchley Hanchett. The William and Daniel Oliver living next to each other, page 13, were probably father and son. The Wells families may have been related to Martin Wells who married Sarah Marshall in 1797.
