King of the Isle of Man Olaf II was born about 1195 in Balley Chashtal, Castletown, Isle of Man.  King of the Isle of Man Olaf II's father was King of Isle of Man Olaf 'The Black' Godredson and his mother was Christina MacAntagart.  His paternal grandparents were King of the Isle of Man Godred III Olafsson and Fionguala MacMuirchertach; his maternal grandparents were Earl of Ross Malcolm III MacAntagart and Ragnhild Somerledsdatter. He had two brothers named Ragnald "Magnus" and Leod.  He was the oldest of the three children.  He died on May 21st, 1238 in Peel Castle, Isle of Man.
