John Montgomery 
John was born on October 4th, 1828 in Hopkins County, Kentucky. John's father was Samuel Montgomery and his mother was Rebecca Brown Givens. His maternal grandparents were Eleazar Givens and Jane "Jenny" Robertson. He had four brothers and a sister, named Thomas Givens, Samuel, Louis, William Fountain and Frances. He was the oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 79 on February 25th, 1908 in Providence, Webster County, Kentucky. He was buried in Cemetery on the Hill, Providence.General Notes
