Sophia Martin 
Sophia was born on August 24th, 1839 in Bedford Co, Va. Sophia's father was William Joseph Martin and her mother was Elinor "Elender" Ellis. Her maternal grandparents were Benjamin C. Ellis and Tellitha Tabitha Mitchell. She had three brothers and four sisters, named William Ellis, Joseph Thomas, "Mack" Martin, Emily Ann, "Juliann", Hope "Hoppie" Jane and Missouria Ellis. She was the fourth oldest of the eight children. She died at the age of 69 on February 17th, 1909 in Bedford Co, Va. She was buried in Bedford Co, Va.General Notes
