Emiline B. "Emily" was born in March 1875 in Maryland.1 Emiline B. "Emily"'s father was James Maccubbin and her mother was Gabriella Peter. Her paternal grandparents were George Maccubbin and Eleanor Maccubbin. She had two brothers and two sisters, named George, Parke Custis, Ella and Mildred E..
