John (The Colonist) MacCubbin 
John, known as The Colonist, was born in 1630 in Ayr, Scotland.1 The Colonist's father was Sir John McCubbin and his mother was Sarah MacGregor Black. He was an only child. He died at the age of 55 on September 21st, 1685 in Anne Arundel Co., Maryland. He was buried after September 21st, 1685 in Brampton, Anar County, Maryland.2 1 General Notes
