Roy Chester MCGUIRE 
Roy Chester was born on December 10th, 1893 in Onaga, Pottawatomie Co., Kansas.1 Roy Chester's father was Levi MCGUIRE and his mother was Nancy Hannah NEVINS. His maternal grandparents were John Jacob NEVINS and Sarah Nellie BENNETT. He had four brothers and six sisters, named William Francis, Herbert Edward, Marion Isaac, Marcus Levi, Sara Isabelle, Ida Florence, Daisy Ann, Martha Lenore, Susie Pearl and Ella Viola. He was the youngest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 78 on October 8th, 1972 in Wamego, Pottawatomie Co., Kansas. He was buried in Onaga Cemetery, Onaga.1 1 General Notes

OBITUARY
Funeral services for Mr. Roy McGuire, 78, of Holton were at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 11, at the First United Methodist church at Holton. Burial was at Onaga cemetery. Mr. McGuire, a former Onagan, died Sunday in a Wamego hospital where he was admitted September 26, after having been a previous patient at Community Hospital here. He had a heart attack.
He was born December 10, 1893 at Onaga and lived in Holton the past 45 years. He was employed by the City of Holton for many years. he was a member of the First United Methodist church and the Golden Age Club, both at Holton. He was an honorary member of the Holton Fire Department.
He was preceded in death in 1963 by his wife, the former Minnie Franklin. Survivors include a son, Donald McGuire of Wamego; a brother, Marion McGuire of Buhl, Idaho and a niece and nephew, Mrs. Leo Ladner and Chester Wienstroer both of Onaga.

He was a member of First United Methodist church and the Golden Age Club, both at Holton. He was an honorary member of the Holton Fire Department.
He was married to the former Minnie Franklin. She died in 1963.
Survivors include a son, Donald McGuire, Wamego; and a brother, Marion McGuire, Buhl, Idaho.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist church at Holton. Burial will be in Onaga Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or to First United Methodist church at Holton. Mercer Funeral Home at Holton is in charge of arrangements.
