Isabel was born about 1438 in Adlington, Cheshire, England.1   Isabel's father was Robert Legh and her mother was Isabella Stanley.  Her paternal grandparents were Robert Legh III and Maud; her maternal grandparents were William Stanley of Hooten and Blanche Arderne of Aldford.  She was an only child.

Isabel's family with Laurence Warren

Isabel and Laurence were married in a religious ceremony in 1459.2  They had three sons named William, John and Richard.
