Ann was born about 1738 in Westmoreland Co., VA.. Ann's father was Ezekiel JENKINS Sr. and her mother was Mary GUNNELL. Her paternal grandparents were John Jenkins and Martha GARNER. She had seven brothers and three sisters, named Ezekiel, John, William, Samuel, Charles, Simon, Thomas, Elizabeth, Mary Elizabeth and Martha. She was the fifth youngest of the eleven children.
