Jane was born on June 6th, 1687 in York, England.1   Jane's father was James Hostead and her mother was Grace Cortney.  She was an only child.  She died at the age of 71 on March 17th, 1759 in Kingsville, Maryland.1

Jane and William were married in 1703 in Yorkshire, England.1   They had five sons and three daughters, named William, John, Samuel, Crabtree, Crabtree, Crabtree, Crabtree and Crabtree.
