James Henson

James was born in 1817 in South Carolina, USA.¹ James' father was Lazerus Henson and his mother was Sarah Harvel. His paternal grandparents were Edmond Henson and Levicy Holder. He had a brother and three sisters, named Archibald, Ann, Luvicy and Elizabeth. He was the oldest of the five children.
