John Matthews Harris

John Matthews was born on August 17th, 1833 in , Wilkinson, Mississippi. John Matthews' father was Victor Nely Harris and his mother was Nancy Ann Netterville. His paternal grandparents were Victor Harris and Jemima Netterville. He had four brothers and two sisters, named William Nely, Charles Victor Nely, Thomas Beck, Benjamin Despain, Susanah Jemima and Sarah Ester. He was the third oldest of the seven children.
