John Griffith

John was born in 1675 in Calvert Co., Maryland.¹   John's father was Samuel Griffith and his mother was Mary Katherine Wood.  His paternal grandparents were Samuel Griffith and Elizabeth; his maternal grandparents were Robert Wood and <Unknown>. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Lewis, Samuel, Benjamin, Ann, Rebecca and Bathsheba.  He was the oldest of the seven children.
