Ophelia was born on April 10th, 1880 in Sand Hill, Comanche, Texas. Ophelia's father was Elisah Hinkle Green and her mother was Alice Maderia Henson. Her maternal grandparents were William Henson and Mary Green. She had five brothers and four sisters, named Ollie M., Albert A., Martin L., James Kirk, Jesse Hinkle, Helen, Lora Alma, Louisa Sylvania and Ada Lee. She was the third oldest of the ten children.-
