James Givens 
James was born on May 8th, 1798 in Logan County, Kentucky. James' father was Allen Givens and his mother was Martha Robertson. His maternal grandparents were James Robertson and Margaret Poage. He had a brother and four sisters, named William Tompkin, Polly, Margaret, Betsy and Jane. He was the oldest of the six children.General Notes
