LaRue Ellen was born on March 5th, 1901 in , Wayne County, Iowa, USA.1 LaRue Ellen's father was William Preston Garton and her mother was Maude Alice Caldwell. Her paternal grandparents were George Washington Garton and Mary Susan Shipley. She had six brothers and five sisters, named Charles Lee, Louis Lyle, Lloyd Orville, Claire Allen, Mardis Woodrow, James Richard, Ufa Imogene, Fern Elizabeth, Annetta Mary, Doris Dean and Alice Adelle. She was the fifth oldest of the twelve children. She died at the age of 80 on April 26th, 1981. She was buried in Lewisburg Cemetery, Clay Township, Wayne County, Iowa, USA.1 -
