Velma Lucille was born on September 17th, 1911 in Davie, North Carolina. Velma Lucille's father was William Anderson Foster and her mother was Lillie K McCullough. Her paternal grandparents were Brainard Taylor Foster and Elizabeth Ann Frye. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Charles Penry, James W, Paul Anderson "Pee Wee", Myrtle Ethel and Margret. She was the second oldest of the six children. She died at the age of 89 on August 15th, 2001 in Winston-Salem, Forsyth, North Carolina.
