Gedeon was born on April 16th, 1626 in French Church/Canterbury, Kent Co., England.  Gedeon's father was Jean DeSpaigne and his mother was Marie Sedt.  His paternal grandparents were Gervois DeSpaigne and Marguerite Boussemar; his maternal grandparents were Cornille Sedt and Jeanne Boullin. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Andre, Jean, Samuel, Jeanne, Marie and Marguerite.  He was the fifth oldest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 64 on October 5th, 1690 in Saint Alphage/ Canterbury, Kent Co., England.

Gedeon and Mary were married in a religious ceremony on May 16th, 1664 in Saint Alphage/Canterbury, Kent, England.1   They had three sons and six daughters, named Gedeon, Samuel, Gedeon, Marie, Jean, Marie, Elizabeth, Susanne and Jeanne.
