Katherine was born on November 25th, 1340 in Picardy Somme, France.1   Katherine's father was Sir Payne (Paon) De Roet (Of Guienne) and her mother was Bonneuil Chenerailles.  Her paternal grandfather was Payn De Roet Count Of Roet. She had a sister named Philippa.  She was the older of the two children.  She died at the age of 62 on May 10th, 1403 in Lincolnshire, England.2 

Katherine's first family with Sir Hugh Swynford

Katherine and Hugh were married in a religious ceremony in May 1366 in St. Clements Dan, Westminster, Middlesex, England.  They had a son and a daughter, named Thomas and Blanchette.


Katherine's second family with John (of Gaunt) England

Katherine and John (of Gaunt) were married in a religious ceremony on January 13th, 1396 in Lincoln, Lincolnshire, England.1   They had a son and a daughter, named Fairborn and Joan.
