Frances, known as Frankie, was born in 1771 in Cumberland Co., Virginia.1   Frankie's father was John T. Crane and her mother was Fannie Pond.  Her paternal grandparents were James Crane and Susannah York. She had eight brothers and four sisters, named Glover, John, James, William, David, Thomas, Barbary, Nathaniel, Elizabeth, Isabella, Nancy and Jane.  She was the fourth oldest of the thirteen children.  She died after 1850 in Taylor Co., Kentucky.1

Frankie and Joshua were married on December 7th, 1795 in Virginia.1   They had six sons and three daughters, named Lewis, James, Nathaniel, John, Thomas, William, Lucy, Nancy and Susannah.
