Miles Nathan was born on May 14th, 1872 in , Crawford County, Arkansas, USA.1 Miles Nathan's father was William Thomas Crabtree and his mother was Susan Arabelle Shipley. His maternal grandparents were Benjamin Franklin SHIPLEY and Sarah "Sally" BURKETT. He had four sisters named Annie Mary, Susan Angeline, Sarah Elizabeth and Hanna Retta. He was the second youngest of the five children. He had a half-brother and three half-sisters, named Marion Thomas, Saphronie J., Julietta Dade and Caldonia. He died at the age of 72 on June 10th, 1944 in Kibler, Crawford County, Arkansas, USA. He was buried in Morrison Cemetery, Hobbtown, Crawford County, Arkansas, USA.2 1 General Notes
