Lydia was born on March 12th, 1833 in Grayson Co., Kentucky.1   Lydia's father was David Conklin and her mother was <Unknown>.  She was an only child.  She died at the age of 66 on August 4th, 1899 in Grayson Co., Kentucky.  Her burial was in August 1899 in Hanging Rock Cemetery, Grayson Co., Kentucky.2 1

Lydia and Miles were married in a religious ceremony. They had five sons and three daughters, named William, Herbert, James, Thomas, Henry, Mattie, Cinderella and Nancy.
