Theodora was born in 1146 in Constantinople, Turkey.1   Theodora's father was Isaac Comnenos and her mother was <Unknown>.  Her paternal grandparents were John Tzimisces Comnenos I and <Unknown>.  She was an only child.  She died at the age of 39 in 1185.1

Theodora and Andronikos were married in 1157.1   They had a son and two daughters, named Alexios, Irini and Irena.
