Her maternal grandparents were Young E. Reynolds Runnels and Susan Arabelle Shipley. She had three brothers and six sisters, named Loransie Dowell, Ky, Robert Sy, Arizona Melinda Jean Roadie Albertine, Lucinda Arbell, Hattie H., Delpha A., Iva Easter and Julie. She was the fourth oldest of the ten children. She died at the age of 86 on March 14th, 1974 in Van Buren, Crawford County, Arkansas, USA. Graveside services for Mrs. Dola Nolan, 86, of Van Buren, Arkansas who died in a local hospital Monday were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Morrison cemetery near Rudy, Arkansas with Ocker Funeral Home in charge. Rev. Robert Lane and Rev. R. E. Pixley were the officiating ministers.
She leaves four daughters, Mrs. Togo Ford and Bertha; Jan and Beulah; one step-daughter, Lena; three sons; one step-son Dan; two brothers; 29 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
