Boso was born in 1050 in Chatellerault, Poitou, Aquitaine, Sarthe, France.1   Boso's father was Hugh Chastellerault and his mother was Gerberga de Rouchefoucauld.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 42 in 1092.2
