Richard was born on December 7th, 1570 in Burghley House, Stamford, Lincolnshire, England. Richard's father was Thomas Cecil and his mother was Dorothy De Neville. His paternal grandparents were William Cecil and Mary Cheke. He had three brothers and eight sisters, named Edward, Thomas, Sir William, Catherine, Mildred, Mary, Susan, Elizabeth, Dorothy, Frances and Lucy. He died at the age of 62 on September 4th, 1633 in Wakerley, Northamptonshire, England.-
