Sir James Campbell 
Sir James was born about 1500 in Kilchurn Castle, Glenorchy, Argyllshire, Scotland. Sir James' father was Laird of Glenorchy Duncan Campbell and his mother was Margaret Moncrieff. His paternal grandparents were Laird of Glenorchy Colin Campbell and Janet Stuart. He had a brother and three sisters, named Laird of Finlarig Sir John, Annabelle Margaret, Catherine and Margaret. He was the second youngest of the five children. He had three half-brothers and a half-sister, named 3rd of Glenorchy Sir Colin, 1st of Glenlyon Archibald, Patrick and Elizabeth. He died on February 12th, 1563 in Loudoun, Ayrshire, Scotland.-
