Churchill CLEMENT 
Churchill was born on April 26th, 1912 in McClain Co OK.1 Churchill's father was Charlie Monroe CLEMENT and his mother was Stella Blackburn BURDEN. His paternal grandparents were William CLEMENT and Etheldra THOMPSON. He had four brothers and four sisters, named William Lowell Lee, Lelan Forrest, Billy Cordell, Lester Charlie "Chief", Arie Etheldra, Lena Ellen, Stella Bessie and Ruby Annamae. He was the second oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 59 on March 2nd, 1972 in Shawnee, Pottawatomie Co. OK. He was buried in Resthaven Cemetery, Shawnee, Pottawatomie Co OK.General Notes
Churchill's sister, Bessie, recalls the day that Churchill and Irene were married. She said that several people accompanied Churchill and Irene to the preacher's house where they were married. They included his sisters, Ellen, Bessie, Arie, Arie's husband Mel, and Earl Blythe. They were all loaded into Mel's car and heading for the preacher'shouse when they stopped along the side of the road to help a stranded family whose car had stopped on them. Mel got out and began helping get the car started. Churchill was pacing up and down, telling Mel to hurry up. After getting the stranded family back on the road, the wedding party loaded up and proceeded on their way. Mel toldChurchill, "See there, we helped that family and we still have time to get you married." Churchill replied, "I ain't kicking, I ain't kicking." Then Mel told Churchill, " Just wait a year or two and you will be."
Churchill's obituary appeared in the Shawnee News Star. It reads as follows:
Churchill M.Clement, 59, Route 2, died Thursday in Shawnee. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Gaskill Funeral Chapel with Rev. R. L. Fritch officiating.
Mr. Clemant was born April 26, 1912 in Purcell and moved to Macomb in 1917. He lived there until two years ago when he moved to Shawnee.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Carol Carsten, Route 2; a son, Harold Dean Clement,Tulsa; his mother, Mrs. Stella Clement, Macomb; four sisters, Mrs.Bessie Cope, Macomb, Mrs Annamae Hicks, Macomb; Mrs. Arie Scott,Tecumseh; and Mrs. Ellen Cope, Oklahoma City; three brothers, Lelan Clement, Muskogee; Billy C. Clement, Macomb; and Lester (Chief)Clement, Lawton; and seven grandchildren.
