James Richmond Brown 
James Richmond was born on December 9th, 1870 in Hollister, San Benito County, California. James Richmond's father was Richmond Baker Brown and his mother was Susan Melinda Whiteman. His maternal grandparents were David Waldo Whiteman and Martha Jane Bryant. He had four brothers and four sisters, named George Garland, John Stephen\Stevens, Charles Raymond, Henry Burdette, Susan Margaret, Martha Elvira, Mary Josephine and Ida Lee. He was the third oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 38 on June 25th, 1909 in Sacramento, Sacramento County, California. He was buried in Guerneville Pioneer Cemetery, Sonoma County, California.1 General Notes
