John was born in 1457 in Eye, Herefordshire, England.1 John's father was Humphrey Blount and his mother was Elizabeth Wynnington. His paternal grandparents were Sir John Blount and Alice de la Bere; his maternal grandparents were Robert Wynnington of Cheshire and Katherine de Venables. He had a brother named Thomas. He was the younger of the two children. He died at the age of 49 in 1506 in Yeo, Herefordshire, England.1 General Notes
