Van Thornton BUCKLES 
Van Thornton was born on September 2nd, 1850 in Harrison Co., Indiana.1 Van Thornton's father was Asa Buckles and his mother was Malinda CLARK. His paternal grandparents were John Buckles and Frances Wallingford. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Thomas P., Lloyd, James Roberts, Catherine, Emily R. and Lucinda H.. He was the third youngest of the seven children. He died at the age of 78 on January 5th, 1929 in Harding Co., Kentucky.1 -
