Marcus Lafayette was born on October 9th, 1854 in Pendleton Co., KY.. Marcus Lafayette's father was Wilson Grigsby BROWNING and his mother was Martha Jane MILLER. His paternal grandparents were Elijah BROWNING and Harriet M. CLEVELAND; his maternal grandparents were James MILLER and Mariah FLYNN. He had two brothers and a sister, named Marshell, William R. and Elizabeth C.. He was the second oldest of the four children. He had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named James William, Edward, Jennie and Venice E.. He died at the age of 74 in 1928. He was buried in Oakland Cem., Pendleton Co., KY..General Notes
