Gladys Ruth was born on May 15th, 1909 in Person Co, NC.  Gladys Ruth's father was Samuel Daniel Wilkins and her mother was Lonie Katie Painter.  Her maternal grandparents were William 'Bill' J. Painter and Mary Elizabeth 'Mollie Bet' Yarbrough. She had three brothers and eight sisters, named William Leonard, Garland Bradsher, Samuel Daniel, Addie Mae, Odell Thelma, Cecile Virginia, Kate Margaret, Rachel Love, Kathryn Lorine, Ola Frances and Clara Garnell.  She died at the age of 80 on April 7th, 1990 in Person Co, NC.
