Rebecca P. was born in 1862 in Tally Ho Twp, Granville Co, NC.1   Rebecca P.'s father was Thomas Jefferson Wheeler and her mother was Martha Roberts.  Her maternal grandparents were James T. Roberts and Rebecca Jones. She had three brothers and a sister, named Edgar Peace, Willie, Thomas Jefferson and Mary J..  She was the third oldest of the five children.1
