James A. Layman

James A. was born on December 17th, 1855 in Grayson Co, KY. James A.'s father was Alfred J. Layman and his mother was Sarah Cockriel. His maternal grandparents were James Cockriel and Lucinda Sirles. He had a brother and a sister, named Thomas C. and Lucinda J.. He was the second oldest of the three children.
