George C. Herndon

George C. was born in 1911 in Cleveland Co, NC. George C.'s father was Marion Elmer Herndon and his mother was Lula A. Carpenter. His maternal grandparents were Edward Anderson Pinckney Carpenter and Caroline B. 'Callie' Hoke. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Infant, Marion Elmer, Hazel Hoke and Helen Frances. He was the oldest of the five children.
