James Washington Barbee

James Washington was born on February 2nd, 1883 in Durham Co, NC. James Washington's father was Sidney Gray Barbee and his mother was Leonora Parham. His paternal grandparents were John Barbee and Sally Roberts. He had five brothers and four sisters, named William Frederick, Sidney Gray, Robert Edward, Hubert Edgar, Charles Wesley, Sallie Roberts, Mary Alma, Lenora Frances 'Fannie' and Madora Alice. He was the second oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 55 on September 11th, 1938 in Durham, Durham Co, NC. He was buried on September 12th, 1938 in Barbees Chapel Church Cemetery, Durham, Durham Co, NC.
