John Henry was born on July 1st, 1882 in Van Buren Co, TN.  John Henry's father was Banjamin Levi Baker and his mother was Sarah Emaline Measles.  His paternal grandparents were James M. Baker and Mamie Elizabeth Simmons. He had five brothers and three sisters, named James Drew, Richard E., Benjamin Levi, Joseph Harding, Arter Parker, Sarah Elizabeth, Emeline and Cynthia Jane.  He was the second youngest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 76 on July 21st, 1958.  He was buried in Town Cemetery, Spencer, Van Buren Co, TN.
