Count Engelbert of the Mark

Engelbert was born about 1282 in Katzenelnbogen, Hessen-Nassau, Prussia.¹ Engelbert's father was Count Eberhard of the Mark I and his mother was Countess Irmgard of Berg. His paternal grandparents were Count Engelbert of the Mark I and Kunigunde von Bliescastel. He had two sisters named Margarethe and Kunigunde. He was the second oldest of the three children. He died on July 18th, 1328.¹
